Program Notes

The beloved carol Silent Night receives a modern treatment in this beautiful setting. An oboe solo accompanied by piano sets the stage for an impressive rhapsodic approach that includes lush full ensemble passages with harmonic twists, solos for recorder and euphonium, and also band vocals at the end.
