Program Notes
Dedicated and premiered at the Missouri Music Educators 50th Anniversary, this work opens with a strong statement based on thematic material, introducing a brisk allegro section which is followed by a slow lyric passage featuring the flute section. The allegro then resumes before a powerful and majestic conclusion.
