Biography
William R. (Bill) Raiford (b. 30 May 1930, Valdosta, Ga.) is an American businessman and composer.
Raiford is a 1952 graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, after which he served in the Korean War. He held various business positions, including with IBM, Federal Systems, Ferris & Company, President of Asset Management International, Inc., 1981-1985, and senior manager portfolio Shearson Lehman Hutton from 1985 to 2001. He was also a lecturer at the University Maryland, 1965-1969.
Mr. Raiford is an accomplished pianist and has composed works for piano, symphony orchestra, chamber orchestra, and band.
