Program Notes

Aside from composing, Katahj Copley is an enthusiastic educator who teaches young musicians the joy of discovering music. This passion is at the core of WildHeart. WildHeart is an experience of fast and exciting colors, interwoven with a soft lyrical interlude that soothes the heart in the middle of an exuberant thrill ride. This piece centers on the idea of someone with a free spirit, willing to look for the next adventure, and is an ode to the feeling of discovery.
