Program Notes

In ancient times, Hadrian's Wall was a Roman fortification running for 73 miles in northern England and marking the boundary between Roman Britannia and Caledonia to the north. Jay Bocook's inventive work for band features a Roman flavor along with unique textures and effects, including a dramatic sword fight.

The title Vallum Hadriani is the Latin for "Hadrian's Wall."
