Program Notes

From a Fairy Tale, Op. 50b is comprised of five miniature movements that depict stereotypical aspects of fantastical narratives. The music is mostly light-hearted, intended to offer pleasure and enjoyment. The composer has provided a brief narrative to adequately prepare the listener for each movement, but in many ways, the music aptly “speaks” for itself in telling the story.
