Program Notes
The flexible work is the second work following the previous Suite for Small Band. This time, I decided to write a song that has been handed down from the past, that is, "traditional song." However, it is actually a "traditional song style," and the melody is my original, not a folk song. However, I wrote it while thinking about the melody that I want to continue singing somehow. I didn't specify the country, and I made the impression that it was transmitted to a foreign (or fictional) village.
As the title says, there are two types of songs. The first song is a 9/8 F minor, a melancholy work with strong ethnicity. The second song should be finished in 2/4 F major, which is in contrast to the first song.
