Program Notes

The music of Count Basie and his Orchestra helped define the Big Band Era. Basie's smooth and elegant music adapts beautifully to the concert stage in this wonderful setting. Titles include: All of Me; Until I Met You (Corner Pocket); April in Paris and Li'l Darlin'. None of these works was actually composed by Basie.
