Trevor Smith
Biography
Trevor Smith (b. 11 August 1993, West Palm Beach, Fla.) is an American music educator, composer, theorist, and percussionist
Trevor was introduced to music through South Florida’s punk and garage rock scenes, jazz and marching bands, and contemporary percussion chamber music. He is deeply inspired by the visual arts, particularly abstraction in all mediums and color field painters.
Trevor completed his DMA in composition and graduate certificate in music theory at Michigan State University in 2021, where he studied composition with Lyn Goeringer, Ricardo Lorenz, and Alexis Bacon. He is currently assistant professor of music at Tarleton State University.
