Program Notes

Here's some great fun you can't miss out on. The Arkansas Traveler is one of the most popular and well known of all folk songs, and it's never sounded better than in this knee-slapping setting. Originally a fiddle tune, this rendition is set in a Cajun-style groove and uses a number of techniques to explore and develop the tune in many unexpected ways.

- Program Note from publisher

Travelin’ Music was commissioned by the Arkansas Small Band Association, Trey Reely, President, for their 2015 high school honor band.

- Program Note from the Fillmore Wind Band concert program, 22 December 2017
