Program Notes

This work was originally a brass trio song for trumpet, horn and trombone. It was commissioned by a group called Greenpeace.

In publishing this time, we have modified the structure to be “flexible” so that it can be played in various combinations so that more people can enjoy it. As the title suggests, the song consists of three songs (three movements). One movement with a somewhat nostalgic tone, Kagome Kagome, and the second movement with a quiet atmosphere, Sunset and Kogake, Sun on a distant mountain (Dvorak's New World song) and Red Dragonfly show up in places. And the third movement "Nanako" is in a energetic marching style.
