Program Notes

This somewhat haunting work is inspired by the phrase: "Music is well said to be the speech of angels."

The battle between Good and Evil now happens in the realm of the angels. New-to-our-idiom colours highlight the work. Off-stage madrigal choir and brass elements are just some of the sounds utilized to create that other-world sonic scape in which this piece comes to its uplifting conclusion. David's faith brings down the insurmountable Goliath. The work is dedicated to Faith and Hope despite the untimely passings of friends and family.
