Program Notes

Filled with bluesy lyricism and masterful counterpoint, Bruce Broughton has crafted a lovely work for six-part adaptable wind band in his Takin' It Easy that is at times reminiscent of George Gershwin, but always rooted in 21st century sensibilities.

Performance Notes

Each part is transposed and playable by a multitude of wind or keyboard percussion instruments while maintaining the spectrum of sound we have grown to love about the wind band.
