Program Notes

A small postmodernist suite composed for flexible combinations of winds and strings with optional piano and percussion. Three tuneful movements, featuring a heavy funk fanfare, a dance tune in an ancient style, and an energetic finale.

Based on the tuba quartet Euphonious IV commissioned in 2018 by Jeff Held and Concordia University in Irvine, Calif.
