Program Notes

Written by Sam Pilafian and Patrick Sheridan, The Strait of Hormuz is a tuba solo to feature Pat’s brilliant virtuosity. It is essentially a mini tone poem with Eastern modes and mixed meters which are meant to evoke the sounds and sights that one might find in a bustling desert market place.

- Program Note adapted from liner notes from SP&S CD Jens Lindemann, Dreaming of the Masters
