Program Notes

This is descriptive music, inspired by the Stone Age. The title merges the words ”stone” and “age.” A new era begins with one of the most important events in our history as a civilization, the birth of music through the most rudimentary and primitive instruments: humanity’s first step on earth. The harshness of ice ages, the transformation of humans from a nomadic to a sedimentary life and their consolidation in clans or families: the music guides us on a journey through time, a totally descriptive type of music which accompanies our caveman as he makes his way, overcoming many obstacles and settling with his fellow humans as a sedentary tribe in the cave that is to be his home.
