Program Notes

Favignana is a beautiful tiny island of the cost of Sicily. The composition is based off the Canti dei Tonnaroti (fisherman songs from the island). It moves slowly towards the end to a jazzy swing tempo, to signify a link between the people of the island and the Americans. The composition is dedicated to Ignazio Galuppo.
