Program Notes

Slide Ride is an energetic work that shows off both the technical and lyrical capabilities of the trombone, while throwing in a few tongue in cheek references to that less polite side of the instrument. The piece is a modified rondo, moving quickly back and forth between styles before arriving at a triumphant conclusion.

- Program Note from publisher

Slide Ride was written for trombonist Joshua Hauser and the Tennessee Tech Symphony Band.
