Program Notes
Slavic Miniatures is a celebration of the Slavic cultures. Commissioned by Richard Gregerson, Director of the Middle School Band of New Richmond, Wisconsin for their tour of Western Europe and the Former Soviet Union. The work recalls works by Shostakovich and Tchaikovsky as well as Czech and Russian folk tunes.
