Program Notes

This tune was written in May 2022 to be considered as the official song of the newly formed United States Space Force. When the Space Force announced another song as its official song in September 2022, that tune gained the final two words in the title, and because "A Song for the U.S. Space Force," is already being played [October 2022], by a number of bands as a song to honor those service members who serve in our newest branch of the military, the United States Space Force.

Just as Army personnel are "soldiers" and Navy personnel are "sailors," personnel of the Space Force are "guardians," and that is where the third word of this song's title comes from.
