Biography

Roberto Molinelli is an Italian composer, violist, pianist and conductor.

Molinelli graduated with honors and won prizes in national and international competitions. My CD on Carl Reinecke’s chamber music was awarded with “CD of the Month” prize on “CD Classical” magazine review.

As composer and arranger Molinelli collaborated with many famous Artists, among which Andrea Bocelli, Sarah Brightman, Gustav Kuhn, Lucio Dalla, Federico Mondelci, Cecilia Gasdia, Anna Caterina Antonacci, Valeria Esposito, Andrea Griminelli, Valeria Moriconi, Danilo Rossi, Giorgio Zagnoni, writing arrangements for concerts where these artists performed with many world famous symphony orchestras. He composes music of varied musical styles (chamber and symphonic classical, jazz, light).

He is Principal Solo Viola of the Orchestra da Camera di Bologna and the Orchestra Filarmonica Marchigiana, as well as viola teacher at the Conservatory "L. D' Annunzio" of Pescara and I've been Artistic Director of Chamber Orchestra of Bologna.

Molinelli the founder of the Ensemble Opera Petite, a small ensemble which plays full operas and arias with the sound of a full orchestra with my musical arrangements of the most famous Italian operas. Since January 2009 he has been Artistic Director for the Innovation of Orchestra Sinfonica "G.Rossini."
