Program Notes
The Ride of the Royal North West Mounted Police was originally composed for piano and chorus, and was published under the name A. Glen Broder. One author proposes this was to avoid any issues surrounding a piece of music being accepted as serious by a female composer in the early twentieth century. The piece was later arranged for band by John Waldron.
- Program Note by Darrin Oehlerking for the University of Saskatchewan Wind Orchestra concert program, 17 July 2015
