Program Notes

Resound celebrates the joy that music can bring into our lives. Music can have a profound impact on us by its ability to evoke emotions, provoke introspection, and connect us with others. Music also has the potential to transport us beyond our immediate reality, connecting us to something greater.

This piece was commissioned by the Rochester Community Concert Band in honor of their 5th season as a community band. Ensembles like this create spaces where individuals can come together and experience the transcendent power of music.
