R. Christopher Teichler
Biography
R. Christopher Teichler (b. 31 May 1977) is an American composer, conductor, performer, and teacher.
Dr. Teichler earned a Bachelor of Music degree in composition from the Wheaton College Conservatory of Music, and Master of Music and Doctor of Music degrees in composition from Northwestern University.
Chris has received awards for his music from Wheaton College, the Elmhurst Jazz Festival, WFMT 98.7 FM Chicago, and the National Band Association. His music has been performed by ensembles ranging from middle school band through professional symphony orchestra.
Dr. Teichler is currently associate professor of music and director of instrumental music at Tabor College (Hillsboro, Kans.). He is also the composer in residence for the MidCities Chamber Singers, a choral group that performs in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.
