Program Notes

This circus march was copyrighted in 1914 and first appeared in King’s Utility Band Book, Number 2. There is no known specific reference for the title, although it was probably composed for a circus act or entertainer. It is perhaps coincidental, but King’s employer, The Sells-Floto Circus and Buffalo Bill Wild West Show, began its 1914 season in Arizona, which had just become the 48th State in 1912.
