This 12-minute work pairing cello soloist with chamber wind ensemble has been performed by major university ensembles nationwide, including Indiana, Butler, Hartford, and Illinois Wesleyan Universities as well as the Cincinnati CCM.

This work was originally subtitled Schiene Maydl (basically, beautiful lady) as it was commissioned in memory of the mom of a Jewish band director friend.
