Program Notes

Lovingly dedicated to the Birch Bay Band Muic Workshop, Plaza Park Escapades is a tongue-in-cheek adventure in sound for the young band. The satirical first section, with its trombone smears and "wrong" notes, provides experience in accidentals and alternative sounds. The allegro section is lively and full of fun, with the siren adding a zany effect. A gradual accelerando from moderato to allegro leads this work to its ultimate finish.
