Program Notes

Pen an Tonic with Seven is a groove-oriented piece that utilizes the pentatonic scale and explores the possibilities of the number seven within various time signatures and note groupings. It asks the percussion section to play on over twenty different instruments, including two musicians playing four-mallet keyboard instruments.
