Paul W Whear
Biography
Paul W. Whear was born in Auburn, Indiana on November 13, 1925. He received degrees from Marquette University, DePauw University, and Case Western Reserve University as well as did additional studies at the Eastman School of Music. His academic career included stints at Mount Union College, Doane College, and Marshall University. His works have been performed throughout the world by such groups as London Symphony Orchestra and Philadelphia Orchestra. Premieres of his works for winds include those by the Kent State University Symphonic Band, Marquette University Symphonic Band, and Ohio University Wind Symphony.
