Program Notes

Re-create the peace and serenity of a winter's evening, complete with gently falling snowflakes dancing on a gentle breeze. The sound of air being blown through instruments accompanied by wind chimes introduces the poignant melody played by woodwinds. The piece grows in sound and texture to a thrilling climax which then subsides to a quiet and gentle finish.

- Program Note by publisher

Commissioned by the Kirby School District 140, Tinley Park, IL, Ray Forlenza, Conductor. Dedicated to Gail Spytek for her 35 years of service to the Kirby School District.
