Program Notes

O Come Holy Night! opens with a mysterious, Middle-Eastern, spine-chilling swell. Suddenly, Hark the Herald Angels heralds over driving rhythms, giving way to Silent Night, with many options from solo singer to chorus to horn solo to horn tutti. A dramatic restatement, again with optional chorus, leaves the audience tuned and ready.
