Program Notes

This expansive work is based on the famous Largo, also known as the Going Home, theme from Dvorak's New World Symphony. Not only does it do full justice to the concept of the original, but it develops the theme in many exciting ways that make it a fine tribute to Dvorak's work. All sections of the band get a chance to shine in the creative variations.
