Program Notes

Driving sixteenth notes in the hi-hat and thumping syncopation in the bass create the foundation over which Dvorak’s masterwork can shine.

- Program Note from publisher

This work is based on the theme from the fourth movement (Allegro con fuoco) of Dvořák's Symphony No. 9, from the New World.

Performance Notes

Each part is transposed and playable by a multitude of wind or keyboard percussion instruments while maintaining the spectrum of sound we have grown to love about the wind band.
