Program Notes

The sense of heritage and home is a hallmark of the Midwest and Middle America and is as the inspiration for all three movements of the work. New Horizons serves as a celebration and tribute to the many people that have established their lives and families in Middleville. Home portrays a sense of pride, reverence, security, and affection. Tomorrows embodies the spirit of the future, of new possibilities as well as a dance-like celebration of community.

- Program Note by publisher

Commissioned by the Thornapple Kellogg High School Symphonic Band, Middleville, Michigan, Ray Rickert, Conductor, to commemorate the opening of their new performing arts center on November 21, 2010.
