Program Notes

Intended to convey a mood of happiness and bliss, this interesting overture was inspired by the serenity found in the beautiful landscapes of a Southern countryside at dawn, in this case a place that also represents a state of mind where individuals reflect on nostalgic moments in life when they felt solace and contentment.

- Program Note from The Instrumentalist

Dedicated to the Dothan High School 9th grade band in Dothan, Al., Steve Mclendon, conductor.
