Biography

Matthew Manning (b. 2 June 1995, Blue Springs, Mo.) is an American composer and educator.

From Blue Springs, Missouri, Matthew Manning is an educator and composer who graduated from the University of Central Missouri with a bachelor's and master’s degree in instrumental music education. During his undergraduate years, he was heavily involved in a variety of ensembles such as orchestra, marching band, concert band, jazz band, chamber ensembles, and vocal ensembles.

Currently [2022], Mr. Manning performs with ensembles all around the Kansas City Metro area such as the Lee’s Summit Symphony Orchestra, the Lee’s Summit Community Jazz Orchestra, the Liberty Community Band, and the Warrensburg Community Jazz Band. Mr. Manning has taught middle school orchestra (6th-8th grade) for the past four years in the Blue Springs School District. He teaches beginner orchestra at Brittany Hill and Paul Kinder Middle School, and intermediate and advanced orchestra at Paul Kinder Middle School.
