Program Notes

In memory of Elena Martinez Navarro.

- Program Note from score

The work is dedicated to the memory of Elena Martínez Navarro, a young woman known to the author, who died of a serious illness days after having her son.

The work follows the traditional structure of the concerto. It is made up of three movements (Allegro-Adagio-Allegro), the first of a jovial air in sonata form, the second of a meditative nature, articulated as a varied theme, and the third of a transcendent character in the form of a scherzo.

- Program Note by Orquestra de Vents Filharmonia
