Program Notes
Marian Variants was written in 2007 for the Gordon College Wind Ensemble to perform as part of a festival celebrating the Eucharist and the Virgin Mary in Orvieto, Italy. It is based on two hymns to the Virgin: Ave, Maris Stella and Omni die dic Mariae (Daily, Daily Sing to Mary).
