Program Notes

This is terrible! In fact, this march by P.D.Q. Bach (1807-1742??) is so bad that the eminent musicologist, Professor Peter Schickele, was brought in as a last resort (after numerous other arrangers flatly refused the job!) to try to make some sense out of the deservedly obscure work. The result is ... a darned good novelty that will delight, entertain and amuse in grand style! (After all, how many other masterpieces for the modern concert band do you know that conclude with a rousing "Doo-wah" sung by the entire ensemble?!)
