Marcel Saurer
Biography
Marcel Saurer (b. 1969, Zurich, Switzerland) is a Swiss composer, arranger and trumpeter.
Saurer began the study of trumpet in 1979, and piano in 1985. He then studied trumpet at the Zurich Music High School. He studied arranging and composition at the Swiss Jazz School in Bern. In 2002, he was a finalist in the Brussels Jazz Orchestra International Composition Contest.
As a composer, Saurer writes in a number of different styles.
