Malinda Zenor

Biography

Malinda Zenor (b. Indiana) is an American composer and teacher.

Ms. Zenor's early musical education was greatly influenced by her father, J. Howard (Windy) Lynn, a professional vaudeville trombonist. She received both Bachelor of Music (education) and Master of Music (composition) degrees from DePauw University in Greencastle, Ind., where she studied composition with the renowned composer Dr. Donald White. After retiring from a teaching career of some fifteen years, she has concentrated her efforts on writing music for concert bands and brass quintets.

Ms. Zenor lives in Punta Gorda, Florida, where she plays French horn or clarinet and composes new music for the Naples Concert Band, the Charlotte County Concert Band, the Venice Concert Band and the North Port Concert Band. She also play piano and sometimes trombone in various ensembles in the area.
