Program Notes

Wit and charm are hallmarks of composer Bradley, and Leopards on the Prowl is no exception. A driving opening section leads to a soft, somewhat mysterious-sounding contrasting section featuring a flute melody accompanied by two-note eighth-note fragments. A grand pause sets up a soft, clever ending section that uses the two-note eighth-note fragment idea to bring the piece to an effective conclusion.
