Program Notes

Drawing its title from the Greek word for "motion," this marvelously paced work explores various forms of movement within the concert band setting. From the fanfare-like opening to the driving main theme, then to the "slow motion" middle section and back again, this dramatic piece is rhythmically and harmonically striking.
