Program Notes

A juggernaut is a massive inexorable force that crushes whatever is in its path, and this dynamic concert opener certainly lives up to the title. Written in a perpetual motion style, the intensity begins in the first measure and doesn't let up until the final measure is finished. Driving and frenetic, with heroic fanfares throughout, it pulsates with seemingly unlimited and unyielding drive.
