Judy Bozone
Biography
Judy Bozone (b. 1982) is a composer and educator living in Thailand.
Dr. Bozone completed her bachelor's degree in composition with minors in philosophy and history at Baylor University in Waco, Texas, before completing both her master's and doctorate degrees at the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre and Dance in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She has been a participant at the Bang on a Can and Aspen Music Festivals and has enjoyed many other opportunities working alongside today's widely multi-faceted generation of performers.
Judy's music is eclectic and vivid, like the composer herself. Her music actively explores texture, tonality and space while maintaining a strong perspective. Influenced and fascinated by both the sonic and visual arts, her music often draws from a hybrid of creative resources.
Dr. Bozone currently is currently chair of the music theory and composition department at Mahidol University in Bangkok, Thailand. She teaches composition, electronic music, form and analysis, orchestration and music theory. She has lived in Bangkok for since 2013.
