John Leszczynski

Biography

John Leszczynski (b. 1987) is an American composer.

John earned a Master of Music degree from the University of Maryland and the Bachelor of Music degree from Indiana University where he also received the Dean's Prize for composition. Teachers include PQ Phan, Donald Freund, Claude Baker, Lawrence Moss, and Samuel Adler.

The Barkada Saxophone Quartet won the Grand Prize at the Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition performing They Might Be Gods. The U.S. Navy Band premiered and toured the country playing Scherzo à la Britten, which was subsequently performed at the American Bandmasters Association 2013 convention by the University of Georgia Wind Ensemble.
