Program Notes

This Broadway musical by Wildhorn and Bricusse features a score that's as good as it gets. The show may have been overshadowed by a couple of big ticket sellers, but musically it deserves to be heard, and it's the type of music that adapts marvelously for concert band. The stage drama is captured with Prologue; This Is the Moment; Facade; Murder, Murder! and In His Eyes.

Jekyll & Hyde is a musical horror-drama loosely based on the novella Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson. Originally conceived for the stage by Frank Wildhorn and Steve Cuden, it features music by Wildhorn, a book by Leslie Bricusse and lyrics by Wildhorn, Bricusse and Cuden.
