Program Notes

Four separate Irish folksongs are presented, performable alone or in any combination and any order and featuring a variety of soloists. The first movement, Deiren De, is a warm lullaby; the second is A Jug of Punch, playful and humorous; the third is The Beggarman, a traditional Irish song; and the final movement is the immortal Danny Boy.
