Program Notes

Meaning "unconquerable," this ponderous and dramatic march from the "King" of all march composers lives up to its title. Composed for his friend Merle Evans, it opens with a minor-key section featuring low brass and woodwinds. The next section features exciting sounds of the circus with the trio returning to the minor key before ending with a rock-solid finale.
