Program Notes

The original brass octet Intrada is the first ensemble work that I composed in 2011 under the commission of Minami Toyama Wind Orchestra. I have been familiar with many groups so far, but in 2012 I wanted to organize more and when I was making the CD Parfait Paradise!

In addition, the members of Showa College of Music also recorded a CD with a clarinet and saxophone woodwind octet, and after discussions with Blaine, the score was "flexible" to accommodate the flexible organization that many venues require. Also, since the original song and the song length and tempo settings have been changed, this is a fresh approach, and we hope that this flexible version will be widely used.
